Cover girl Emma B proved to be the blushing bride on a return to her old school.

Top model Emma, whose full name is Emma Blocksage, received a hero's welcome when she took to the catwalk at a charity fashion show at Helens-wood School, St Leonards.

She was a pupil until four years ago when she won a modelling contract as part of a national competition.

Emma, watched by proud mum Sandra and an audience of 400, joined current pupils of Helenswood and William Parker School to model clothes donated by local high street stores on Wednesday night.

She provided the event's finale by taking to the catwalk in a wedding dress from Hastings bridal shop Bustles and Bows.

Carly Bashford, 17, said: "It was a wonderful night and it was wonderful to have Emma along too.

"It was a bit hectic backstage so she didn't really have a chance to give us any tips on modelling but it all went well."

The event, organised by pupils and teacher Nicky Cusack, raised about £800 for Children in Need.
