We act as though we are a nation of disempowered citizens. We are like puppets - those in control pull the strings and we dance to the tune. We are conned time and again and constantly complain there is nothing we can do about it.

But not everyone gives up without a fight. Campaign isn't fooled by phoney consultation and it isn't afraid to say so. Consultation is hogwash. Brighton and Hove Council isn't interested in public opinion because Westminster tells it what to think. It can't work out problems itself.

I don't think Brighton and Hove Council could define the word democracy. It certainly isn't alive in the council. The name of its game is self interest, with a touch of megalomania. The message Campaign gives us is if you want to make a difference you can. In unity there's strength.
