A bonfire and fireworks display has been cancelled due to lack of support.
East Preston Scout Group has called the event off for the first time in 15 years, to the disappointment of leaders and members.
The group sent letters to local businesses and organisations asking for cash to sponsor the event and buy fireworks.
But they received just £10 with a handful of replies plus £40 from East Preston Royal British Legion.
Leaders have been forced to call off the event and are now planning a summer event instead.
