My 15-year-old son and a friend recently spent the day on the beach by Brighton pier where both of their bags, containing clothes, wallets, bus passes and money were stolen.
They were left with no way of getting home and in their swimming trunks. No assistance was offered by the beach office. Fortunately a shopkeeper offered the boys money to phone home.
