Chiddingly's lead in the first division has increased despite being held to a dull draw by The Boards in the East Sussex League.

John Grievson hit 92 and Australian Evan Richardson an undefeated 56 as the home side made 203-7. The Boards were indebted to Terry Penfold's 60 as they made 144-7 in reply.

Rye stay second despite suffering a surprise defeat against Seaford at the Salts.

The visitors rattled up 235-4 thanks to Hopper (75), Ghosh (60) and Alex Khan (56 no). But Seaford got home with seven wickets to spare with Adie Chipper making an undefeated 101.

Ringmer moved closer to the top two after a five-wicket victory over Herstmonceux.

P.Mullins (5-53) and Murray Barnett (3-34) helped bowl out the visitors for 147.

Ringmer slumped to 81-5, but an undefeated 43 from Glyn Crees and 23 not out by Barnett steered them home.

St Peters enjoyed a first win of the season by seven wickets at home to Newick. Rupert Thacker made 53 of Newick's 160. Saints got home thanks to Richard Dale's 72.

Ditchling were six-wicket winners at Fletching. Mike Nolan (3-18) and Tom Wakeford (3-42) dismissed Fletching for 130 and Ditchling reached their target thanks to Johnny Coburn's 48.

Crowhust Park still lead the way in Division Two after a draw at home to Iden.

The visitors made 229-6 with Neil Cloute leading the way with an unbeaten 110. Chris Curd (37) and David White (36) gave valuable support.

Park needed 13 off the last two overs with three wickets in hand, but Phil Shanks (4-25) took two wickets and Laurence Coleman to end their hopes.

Darren Corke (46), Martin Barry (45) and Victor Walcott (39) were their top scorers.

Barcombe were held to a draw by Heathfield Park. The home side made 202-8 with Sanjay Patel (70) and Savage (66) putting on 102 for the second wicket.

Heathfield's innings was interrupted by rain but they made 177-8 with Bashford making 61 and Simon Briggs 28. Ian Newman took 5-39.
