I was appalled to learn recently that the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath is considering moving its accident and emergency department to the Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for financial reasons.
This is especially shocking having read in the paper the following day that £758 million has been spent on the Millennium Dome.
When is this Government going to get its priorities right?
The Princess Royal is only nine years old and is a fantastic hospital. I can speak from experience as five years ago I was rushed there after I had a heart attack.
If I had been taken to the Sussex County, a much longer journey, I might not have survived.
