Today I have had the sad experience of having my purse stolen while in a Brighton market - taken out of my shopping bag by a young thug - containing money, the balance of my pension and many personal items and the only photograph I possess of my late mother. The thief ran through the market so fast nobody could catch him.

I thank the traffic warden who kindly took me to the cafe and gave me a cup of tea and he also called the police. Thank you to the kind lads who gave me my bus fare home. I am 95 years of age and I'm sure Argus readers can understand how traumatic this has been. I hope the thief enjoys my money.
