Albion defender Darren Carr's stop-start season continues with another comeback today.

The big centre half plays for the reserves against Bournemouth at Dean Court (2pm). Carr has been plagued by problems since a £25,000 summer move from Gillingham.

Injuries kept him out of the first team until October, then he was sent-off in the defeat at Hull earlier this month.A calf injury sidelined him from the next match at home to Plymouth and he was suspended for last Saturday's trip to Northampton.

Transfer-listed goalkeeper Mark Ormerod plays today against his home town club in a reserve line-up which also includes two trialists. Danny Arkwright, from Whyteleafe, makes his second appearance and former Millwall trainee Ross Venables his first.

Kent-born Venables, released by Scottish club Raith Rovers at Christmas, had a game for Crystal Palace reserves last month. The Argus exclusively revealed in yesterday's Night Final edition that out-of-favour forward Dave Cameron has gone to Raith on a week's trial.

Albion Reserves: Ormerod; Armstrong, Andrews, Palmer, Arkwright, Carr, Wilkinson, D. Davis, Venables, Marney, Ramsay. Subs: Packham, McPhee, A. Davis, Hammond, Jackson.
