Bognor strengthened their position at the top of Sussex One without kicking a ball.

Opponents Old Brightonians couldn't raise a team for Saturday's game so their hosts should pick up the two points. Hastings & Bexhill are two points behind and poised to cash in on any slip-up by the leaders after beating Pulborough 37-6.

Crowborough were beaten 15-10 at windswept Seaford. Good goalkicking was the key to Seaford's victory. Simon Baker landed three penalties, including one effort from the halfway line, while Andy Booth struck twice.

The Hellingly and Uckfield game was postponed. Chichester Institute have set themselves a target of 1,000 league points. They maintained their 100 per cent record in Division Two by demolishing Burgess Hill 93-14 moving on to 777 points with four games to go.

Coach Ian Davies said: "That's our target and we're playing well enough to get there." They ran in 15 tries through Rory Whybrow (2), Jamie Jones (2), James Graney (2), Gareth Hare, Tony Radice, Steve Bembridge, Pat Conlon, Simon Dyson, Damian Swayer, David Randall, John Hughes and Adam Holloway. Graney also kicked nine conversions.

BA Wingspan swapped places with Ditchling after winning 5-0 thanks to a try from lock Tony Parsons.

Plumpton stay third despite a 22-17 home defeat by Sussex Police. In a hard-fought contest, Police always had the edge although Plumpton did draw level early in the second half after tries from Geoff Howard and skipper Richard Swain.

Two further tries put the game beyond Plumpton although Paul Abbott later converted his own try.
