Albion manager Micky Adams is thinking big in a bid to replace Lorenzo Pinamonte.

He could sign another giant striker following the 6ft 3in Italian's move to Brentford.

"I would think that is an avenue we might try to pursue," Adams revealed.

"We thought Dave Cameron would come in and be that big centre forward and Aidan Newhouse also.

"Unfortunately Dave prefers the ball into his body and feet so he can jink and turn.

"Big Lorenzo came in and gave us that other option.

"Gary Hart and Darren Freeman gambled off him. Now that he has gone to get the best out of them and the other forwards at the club we may need to bring another big man in."

Ryan Palmer is in contention for only his second appearance in the first team at Hull on Saturday.

Central defender Andy Crosby and midfielder Charlie Oatway are both ruled out of the trip to Boothferry Park by one match suspensions.

Keith McPherson, Crosby's obvious replacement, is battling to recovery from a calf problem.

Youngster Palmer, signed on a free transfer from Fulham last summer, normally plays in the centre of defence, but he made his debut at Swansea in December in midfield.

Adams is keeping his options open.

"Keith could be fit, I could go with four at the back or put Palmer in," he said.

"Ryan can play in midfield as well and I have also got Warren Aspinall and Paul Armstrong, although I am concerned about Armstrong's fitness."

Adams is still digesting the early red card for Rod Thomas at Mansfield on Tuesday before deciding whether to consider him for selection.

Adams watched Thomas, Palmer, Aspinall and Armstrong in action for the Reserves at Crawley last night in the Sussex Senior Cup.

But it was Cameron who played a major part in Albion's 2-1 success as he won a penalty, which Aspinall converted, and later hit the winner.
