Albion loan signing Lorenzo Pinamonte is thinking over a £75,000 move to Brentford.

Ron Noades, the Brentford boss, has agreed the fee with Pinamonte's club Bristol City and it is now up to the player.

Albion manager Micky Adams revealed: "Lorenzo went up to speak to Brentford yesterday. They have agreed a fee of £75,000. Personal terms were discussed and they are leaving it up to the player.

"Lorenzo has been up to have a chat with me. I cannot persuade him one way or another.

"It is a decision he has got to make for himself, but obviously we would like to keep him."

Noades watched Pinamonte playing for Albion at Rochdale earlier this month.

The Seagulls tabled an undisclosed bid for the former Foggia forward shortly before his first month expired.

The situation was complicated by the departure of Bristol City boss Tony Pulis to Portsmouth.

But Albion managed to secure Pinamonte's services for a second month, which started with last Saturday's draw at Torquay.

Pinamonte, 23, scored twice in Albion's 4-2 home victory against Exeter at the turn of the year and he has been enjoying his stay on the south coast.

He told The Argus last week: "I want some more goals and wins. We need some points.

"I know that Brighton, with the atmosphere here, should not be playing in the Third Division. If we find our confidence we can play."
