Andrew Cook marked his return from injury with the first-half try which kept Haywards Heath flying high in London Two South.

Cook finished off an incisive blindside move between Damian Lyall and Alex Meredith to help second-placed Heath win 20-8 at Sevenoaks.

Owen Ashton's kicks saw Heath go 13-5 up at the break and he was then superb under the high ball as Sevenoaks attacked in the second half.

Mark Pymm sent Dave Wattam over for the clinching late score, with Ashton's conversion bringing up his century of points this season in league and cup.

Sevenoaks had plundered an early try through Heath old boy Jarrod Hastings but their hopes were hit in the second half when their full back was sent off.
