BUSINESS Link Sussex is to host more than 25 major South-East organisations at the Sussex Meet the Buyers event.

The occasion, next Wednesday at The Charmandean Centre, Worthing, supported by West Sussex local authorities as well as Brighton and Hove Council, offers opportunities for local companies to meet many potential customers in a fraction of the normal time.

Previous Meet the Buyers events have generated many thousands of pounds worth of business for local companies.

Richard Bianco, executive director at Business Link Sussex, said: "In just one day, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to meet and establish relationships with a wide range of buyers in the area, giving them the opportunity to significantly boost their sales."

Andy Tester, of Lancing-based Sims Portex, said: "The benefit of an event of this type is that it matches both parties together, before the event, thus guaranteeing buyers a number of good quality suppliers."

The 25 companies from Sussex and the South-East, which include major local companies such as such as Royal Sun Alliance, Sussex Police Authority and Marconi Avionics, together with the University of Sussex, and the councils from West Sussex County, Hastings Borough, East Sussex County and Chichester District, are actively seeking new sources of supply within the region.

For a single payment of just £50 per delegate, appointments can be booked with the buyers ensuring that the day is spent selling products or services in key markets.

An exclusive pre-briefing is to be held on Tuesday, where delegates can make additional appointments as well as gaining invaluable information on how to make the most of the day.
