AN arson attack in the early hours of today left a car sales business badly damaged and destroyed three vehicles.

Three cars parked on the forecourt of Pagham Auto Select, in the village of Pagham, near Bognor, were gutted.

Today's 1.15am blaze also damaged a building used as a workshop by the second-hand car sales firm.

Police said the incident was being treated as arson after the discovery that fires had been lit underneath the cars.

More than 20 firefighters managed to prevent the flames spreading to the adjacent Pagham Service Station complex and its MoT bay and repair centre.
