ALBION manager Micky Adams has appealed to the Withdean fans to "get behind the lads" in tonight's FA Cup replay against Peterborough.

Anyone who doesn't has been threatened with a visit from his assistant and Wimbledon FA Cup winner Alan Cork!

The plea from Adams, 38 yesterday, follows last Saturday's 1-0 win against Hartlepool, when he attacked the "dead" atmosphere at Albion's temporary home.

"My message is to get behind the lads," he said. "It's an unusual football stadium and I appreciate the problems the fans have, particularly sitting in the uncovered South Stand.

"I'm not sure I would like to do that, but we have got to get on with it. It's an FA Cup tie and if I mention those words to Corky he starts talking about the '88 final and the Crazy Gang.

"So if there is anybody out there who doesn't cheer I'm sending Corky around to their house!"

Captain Paul Rogers missed training yesterday, but he is expected to recover from a nagging knee problem.

Goalkeeper Mark Ormerod will be back among the substitutes again, as he was for the first game at Peterborough when Darren Freeman equalised in a 1-1 draw.

The absence of top scorer Freeman could be significant if the tie has to be decided on penalties, since he is Albion's regular taker.

The Seagulls have been knocked out of the FA Cup in shoot-outs twice in the last four seasons and they were practising spot-kicks in training this morning.

"I hope the game doesn't go to penalties, but if it does I would like to think we will be ready for them," Adams added.

His old club Brentford or Plymouth, who replay at Home Park tonight, await the winners in the second round.

A few hundred seats for the match are still on sale today at the ticket office in Queens Road, Brighton.
