A £20,000 reward has been put up in the hope of finding the sex killer of former Sussex schoolgirl Rebecca Storrs.

The 18-year-old's body was found dumped in the River Ogmore at Bridgend, South Wales, where she had recently moved with sisters Victoria, 21, and Laura, 14, and her mother Elizabeth.

Now police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the art student's killer.

The former St Richard's Secondary School, pupil failed to return to her new home in Bridgend on March 6.

Police believe she was sexually assaulted and murdered as she walked home from party at 4am and thrown into the river.

She had earlier been out with sister Victoria but the pair had gone their separate ways at 2am.

Police later interviewed party-goers who were the last to see the A-Level student alive. They now want to speak to three fishermen seen near the River Ogmore at the time of the attack.

A passer-by alerted police at 11.30am on March 6 after discovering Rebecca's body less than a mile from her home.

Investigations found that the 5ft 2in teenager had been sexually assaulted and had tried to fight off her killer.

Soon after, police arrested a 31-year old man who was later released without charge.

Rebecca's father, Michael, who still lives in Sidley, near Bexhill, has pleaded for help in the hunt for his daughter's murderer.

He is currently with the rest of his grieving family in South Wales.
