ALBION are ready to roll their sleeves up to end the Leyton Orient jinx.

That is the rallying cry from Andy Arnott, who captains the below-strength Seagulls in tomorrow's Priestfield showdown against his old club.

Arnott, installed as skipper in place of the suspended Ian Culverhouse, vowed: "The fans are going to see full commitment.

"That wasn't there in our last home game against Exeter, but we have got to start fighting more for each other."

Albion have not beaten the O's in eight League and cup clashes over the last four years.

Arnott, who made 50 League appearances during an 18-month spell at Brisbane Road, knows it will be tough to buck the trend with such a depleted side.

"They are doing really well at the moment and we've had a couple of bad results, so it's going to be a hard game for us," he said.

"We know we can do a lot better and we have got to start tomorrow. We haven't been creating a lot of chances and we have been starting games sloppily.

"We've got to start brighter and get stuck into them straight from the whistle.

"There are going to be people coming in who haven't been involved for a while and that sometimes perks things up."

Michael Bennett replaces Culverhouse as sweeper, Kerry Mayo deputises for the suspended Paul Sturgess at left wingback and recent signing Lawrence Davies makes his full home debut up front in place of Gary Hart, who is also banned.

Gary Hobson, Tony Browne and Darragh Ryan are back in contention as well.
