HORSHAM boss Russell Mason has accused Lewes of intimidation during Tuesday night's stormy midweek cup tie.

Hornets players Junior Kamara and Germain Amanuel were both sent-off, along with Lewes's Paul Stokes, after a flare-up 72 minutes into their Senior Cup quarter-final at the Dripping Pan.

Stokes went first for retaliation after a shove from Steve Flain and Amanuel and Kamara quickly followed as a flurry of punches were thrown.

Mason said: "Lewes are a friendly club with a great team but they've got people there who are abusive.

"I will demand an FA inquiry. I tried to get Jimmy Quinn to calm his men down. Jimmy Coleman, my assistant, was getting upset and I sent him to the changing rooms.

"I want to know what Lewes are going to do about it."

Lewes boss Quinn countered: "I don't know what was said in that incident.

"I was too busy trying to get the referee's attention and ask why the player who started all the trouble wasn't sent-off.

"But there were were plenty of other things going on and they will come out as well if it goes to an inquiry."
