TWO men are being questioned by police after the body of a 44-year-old man was found at a block of flats.

The man, who has not been identified, had stab wounds to the stomach.

The body was discovered by the victim's flatmate at Manton Court, Rotunda Road, Eastbourne.

Police are not naming the man, who is thought to come from Bolton, until his relatives have been traced.

They are treating the death as suspicious and are waiting for further reports from a pathologist.

Police in Lancashire are liaising with Sussex colleagues.

An incident room has been set up at Eastbourne police station and forensic experts were today continuing their examination of the flat.

Det Chief Insp Steve Scott, heading the inquiry, said: "We are treating the death as suspicious.

"Officers are making inquiries in Eastbourne and in the Bolton area.

"The man has injuries to his stomach, possibly stab wounds."
