AN OFFICE cleaner is recovering in hospital after three men attacked him with a baseball bat.
The victim, from Crawley, was left with a broken shoulder blade, a gash to the back of his head, broken ribs and a suspected punctured lung.
Police think the attack was part of a plan to break in to the offices.
The attack happened as the man, 50, was leaving the Synnex computer company on the Birches Industrial Estate, Felbridge, East Grinstead.
He had driven his van to the back of the building and was putting rubbish into the bins when the men, wearing balaclavas and boiler suits, attacked him.
The men were disturbed and drove off in the van, which they dumped half a mile away.
