I recently took my seven-year-old son to the Sussex Eye Hospital (SEH) in Eastern Road.

The care and attention he received there was remarkable.

He was seen by Gemma Fitch in Ophalmology, who captivated his attention immediately by sharing a joke.

She showed obvious enthusiasm for her profession by being up-to-date with all the latest children's TV characters.

She kept up this energy and enthusiasm throughout the assessment process and had a natural ability to reassure and engage with children. I hope she reads The Argus.

Perhaps Peter Coles, chief executive of SEH's NHS trust, would like to congratulate her on her success.
