Reading your article today, I was surprised to read the comment by Steve Fletcher in respect of Adur's facilities (August 2).
Wadurs pool at Shoreham operates a "ladies only" session, in term time, on Wednesday mornings, Thursday mornings and Friday mornings.
In school holidays the ladies must rough it with those nasty men.
When I first raised the matter with Adur District Council, last year, before Impulse Leisure took over the pool, it replied with the stock answer re embarrassment in presence of men etc, completely overlooking the fact that male lifeguards as often as not were on duty and male maintenance staff were frequently poolside as well.
