Some £50,000 of tax credits available to working parents are going unclaimed.
Brighton and Hove Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) has joined forces with the Inland Revenue to make people aware they may be entitled to Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit. The project includes seminars for CAB workers and mail shots directed at potentially eligible clients.
CAB director Keith Kemp said: "We need to target people very specifically and give them the right sort of support to claim all the benefits they are entitled to."
