Peter Jones's letter (September 8) made an excellent contribution to local Second World War memories.
He described the equipment and methods used for training anti-aircraft gunners in the dome building at Shoreham Airport.
I can vouch for the accuracy of Mr Jones's report, having attended a course at the dome in November 1943.
In 1987, it was declared an Ancient Monument.
