Fans of a popular theatre have two weeks to show their support for the venue.

The Brighton Dome has been nominated for the South of England's National Lottery Project of the Year with a public vote deciding on the winning scheme.

Three other schemes from the region are also in the running for the title which will be handed out as part of the National Lottery Awards.

Funding from the National Lottery was used to restore the Brighton Dome, considered one of the finest examples of Regency architecture in the city.

Visitors to the venue have until October 10 to vote in support of the arts venue which is among scores of National Lottery projects including arts, sport, health and education work since the game was launched in 1994.

Wartime stories from Age Concern Southampton and a respite centre for children with life-threatening illnesses are among the other projects up for the prize with the winning scheme competing in a UK final against other regional projects.

People can vote for their favourite project by phone, calling 0845 4346829 for Brighton Dome.
