Brighton and Hove is proud of its diversity and offers equality to all. So welcome to the Travellers who are stopping over at Waterhall.

Where else is there for them to go? Thatcher got rid of the requirement for stopping places and, of course, this government has done nothing to reverse it.

Travellers are a race without a country, a race without an army.

These people have families, health needs and education needs. They, like all, need shelter, food and a welcome.

Have any of the people who object actually gone up and said hello? If you talk to travellers, you will find out about how they are moved on.

Some evictions have been really violent, causing unknown trauma to the families involved. And each time, the children's schooling is affected and health care is severed until a new site is found.

The world is a better place for the diversity of its people and Brighton and Hove proclaims itself to be a city of inclusivity.
