I was saddened to learn of the death of the fine, much-loved, comedy actor Ronnie Barker at the age of 76.
For years, we have enjoyed the wonderful TV programmes he has starred in, including Open All Hours, Porridge and the Two Ronnies with Ronnie Corbett.
Apart from his acting ability, he also proved himself as a script writer, winning four Bafta TV awards.
He will be greatly missed but we are fortunate to still have his many TV recordings.
