Lewes manager Steven King believes his attacking players need to work harder if they are to start scoring goals and winning games with more conviction.

The Rooks booked a place in todays fourth qualifying round draw after beating Ryman League division one side Dulwich Hamlet 1-0 but King was still not happy.

He said: We need people to contribute more. Jean-Michel Sigere and Karl Beckford are the only ones scoring at the moment.

We havent really got a goal threat. We need goals because goals breed confidence.

The match was decided by a 19th-minute penalty following a handball inside the area. Beckford, who scored a spot kick winner in the previous round at Leyton, came up trumps again.

Otherwise, it was a story of squandered chances.

King said: I would love to have a good run in the Cup. We havent done very well in the competition over the last couple of seasons, so this time I want to reach the first round proper and play against a big League team.

It would be great for the club and the supporters if we had a decent run.

Manager Garry Wilson insists Eastbourne Borough did not underestimate Met Police in Saturdays surprise 3-3 draw.

Borough twice came from behind against the Ryman division one club to force a third qualifying replay at Priory Lane tomorrow.

The Conference south side were 2-0 down after just five minutes when Rob Hayworth converted from close range and then Darren Baker scored an own goal.

Borough pulled one back on 14 minutes when Scott Ramsay volleyed home a Danny Simmonds cross but just moments later Kevin Cooper was allowed to turn in the box to net the home sides third.

Anthony Storey fired Borough back in contention just before half-time with a low drive and Yemi Odubade got the equaliser with eight minutes remaining.

Wilson said: We were caught cold early on and gave ourselves a big mountain to climb but we did not underestimate them.

They are flying in their division and were full of confidence, so we knew they would be a good side.

Apart from the first five minutes, we did well and had a lot to be positive about. We dominated the game and showed a lot of character to come back from the early set-back and get ourselves back in it. I think we should have too much for them in the replay.
