Angela Rowland got every fact in the book wrong in her attack on "tuppenny ha'penny" Albion. Everyone in Brighton and Hove was given the opportunity to say no to the stadium in the 1999 referendum.
More than 83 per cent said yes, with 68 per cent saying it should be at Falmer. Compare that to the 35 per cent who voted for the present Government.
No government since the war has received more than 50 per cent of the vote. Does Ms Rowland hold the view that they were all there under false pretences?
The majority in favour of a stadium for the Albion was so huge that even if everybody living in Falmer village which isn't in Brighton and Hove
was allowed to vote, it wouldn't have affected the result.
Ms Rowland derides the team for being unable to "rise up the league".
For her information, the Albion were at the bottom of the bottom division in 1997 and are now playing in the Championship.
That's incredible, given the absence of a proper stadium to play in.
If permission is given for a new stadium, the club's finances will be transformed.
We look forward to a bright future.
