Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson has backed his side to beat the Met Police tonight but only if they are sharp from the first minute of their FA Cup third qualifying round replay.

The Police went 2-0 ahead within five minutes at Imber Court last Saturday and 3-1 up by the 16th but Borough came back to draw 3-3 and book tonight's Priory Lane showdown.

Wilson has no plans to change his game-plan for the Ryman League division one high-fliers tonight.

He said: "There is no need to do anything different other than cut out the silly goals.

"If you eradicate the first five minutes of the match at Met Police we would have won comfortably on the amount of chances and possession we had."

Wilson will not be taking the visitors lightly.

"They have experienced players who have played at a higher level. They have two good forwards and two good wide men but we are at home and we're confident," he said.

Borough have again been hit by injuries with midfielder Anthony Storey, who came off in the final ten minutes in the first game, described as 'very doubtful' due to an ankle injury.

Matt Smart also picked up a knock while Stuart Tuck missed the game with a neck injury.

Andy Atkin came on for Storey and could be a like-forlike change tonight.

Wilson said: "Andy is a good lad and we have missed him while he has been out injured.

"Nothing seems to faze him and he gives us something a bit different."

Ollie Rowland also picked up a dead leg but is likely to figure. A tie at Bishop's Cleeve or AFC Totton awaits tonight's winners.

"We have something to play for now as there is an opportunity to progress against either of those teams," admitted Wilson.

Crawley have been handed a relatively easy draw - at home to either Braintree or Heybridge Swifts - but defender Chris Giles insists they will not be taking anything for granted.

The Ryman premier division rivals play a replay tonight after a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Giles said: "You can't talk about easy draws in the FA Cup because it doesn't matter what division teams are in.

"I have been on both sides of the coin.

"I've played in a side that has caused an upset and played for the favourites when they have lost to a lesser team.

"It makes no difference who we play, we are going to approach the game in exactly the same way."

Steven King insists Lewes can reach the first round of the FA Cup if they play to their potential.

The Rooks have been drawn away to Conference south rivals Cambridge City in the fourth qualifying round a week on Saturday.

Lewes are just two points and two places behind City in the table and took four points out of six off the Lilywhites last season.

King said: "When I first heard the draw I thought it was hard but then I thought about it more and I was quite happy.

"It is a winnable game for both of us. That is all you can ask for. If we get it right on the day, we will win the game."
