As a disabled person with a blue parking badge I totally agree that everything should be done to prevent the fraudulent use of badges.

However, I have to disagree with the comments made by Karen, of Russell Square, Brighton, (Letters, October 8), about the type of cars "disabled people should be getting out of".

The days of the "blue three-wheelers" being the only suitable transport for people with disabilities are, fortunately, long gone.

Sports cars and Range Rovers can be bought and used by disabled drivers as well as able-bodied ones.

Also, disabilities are not always apparent to the onlooker. So please think before you shout fraud!
