The proposed redevelopment of the King Alfred is, by virtue of its bulk, scale, footprint, density and height, out of character with the buildings around it.
It fails to respect or enhance the positive qualities of the local neighbourhood and will mean the loss of privacy and sea views for many residents nearby.
