I visited Hove from Sweden recently. At Brighton's Jubilee Library, I saw the plan for the King Alfred redevelopment.
I couldn't suppress a gasp of horror, then a bray of laughter. The buildings look grotesque and are more like cartoons.
They ooze contempt for their surroundings and the people who would have to live with them.
The buildings fail to respect the surrounding buildings and are simply out of proportion.
They will ruin the seafront, which is one of the area's greatest assets.
