We now live in Spain, having lived in the Brighton area for more than 25 years. We regularly read The Argus to stay in touch.
We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Phil Starr.
The comments by many, including dear Masie Trollette (Dave Raven) spoke about only half the man.
He was without doubt one of the most gentle and generous individuals you could ever hope to meet.
He was a true star in every respect and his passing is a tremendous loss, not just for the gay community, but for humanity.
He will be sadly missed - not only by those with whom he enjoyed friendships but by the many hundreds, if not thousands, who were enthralled by his professionalism.
