When pubs start their extended opening hours, Saturday nights will mean that when your local has loud music belting out at one o'clock in the morning, all you have to do is call the police, who will rush round, close it down and revoke its licence.
After all, they have no other priorities on a Saturday night. How comforting. (Pull the other one, somebody.)
