Tony Mernagh (Letters, October 20) wants the RSPCA to stand aside so the park-and-ride facility can be built at Patcham, apparently for the "greater good". But whose "greater good"?

Park and ride belongs in the last century. It's time for a transport vision we can all aspire to.
