A guide listing which shops, supermarkets, cafes and bars sell Fair Trade goods in East Sussex has been published.
More than 25,000 copies of the Fair Trade Eastbourne guide are being distributed to shoppers in Eastbourne, Polegate, Hailsham and Seaford.
An online version will soon be available on the group's web site at www.fairtradeeastbourne. org.uk Chairman Clive Gross said: "Since we started our group last April, many people have asked where they can buy Fair Trade goods locally.
"We hope that publishing this free guide in time for Christmas will help Eastbourne shoppers choose a Fair Trade festive season."
The guide comes as the British Association of Fair Trade Shops reports a healthy year-on-year increase in retail sales, in contrast with the general downturn in the sector.
Fair Trade Eastbourne is also staging Eastbourne's first Fair Trade Christmas Fayre on Sunday at the Namaskar Rooms in Seaside Road from 10am.
Alongside a range of goods, will be live music, refreshments and information on local, national and international Fair Trade campaigns.
