The recent decision by Lewes District Council (LDC) to challenge the hard fought-for democratic ruling which was finally given by the Deputy Prime Minister in favour of the Falmer Stadium confounded even a hardened cynic such as myself.
It does LDC little credit, either to its taxpaying constituents, who will bear the brunt of its folly, or to the people of Sussex who could be further delayed from obtaining a ground and stadium befitting a championship side.
