On Tuesday, I was forced to make a journey to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
I work at the hospital and it should take no more than 20 minutes from Peacehaven to get to there. The journey took one hour, 45 minutes, due to the closure of the A259 at Rottingdean.
In 2005, it is absolutely crazy residents of Peacehaven and Saltdean should have to use one road to access Brighton. In this day and age, an alternative route should be sought.
If Lewes District Council has so much money to waste on challenging a football stadium, it must be able to sort out the road network which, as on it did on Tuesday, isolates a good proportion of it's residents.
