Paul Samrah, chair of Falmer for All group, admits the Albion have got this far without any indication of where the £50 million required to build the stadium is coming from, apart from "loans, sponsorship and grants" (Letters, December 3).
In view of the parlous state of the club's finances, this doesn't seem a sound basis for going ahead with the stadium.
Perhaps he or Brighton and Hove City Council can tell us how much the council has spent on this project on behalf of the electorate - 12 per cent of which voted against it and 62 per cent of which didn't think it important enough to vote for or against in the referendum.
