Why don't adults listen to what children say?
If they had paid attention to the comments of young Ella Parsons about the "little white hut" on the end of the West Pier two years ago, the fallen kiosk would be in a museum today, safe from the gale which sadly knocked it off the pier.
Lost at sea? That last remaining treasure was a pleasure to my camera and me.
They doubted Thomas Mackie, too, who wished to empty his piggy bank and rebuild the pier anew.
But the adults continue to argue about the pier's future as it disappears from view.
I should spend your money in the sweetie shop, Thomas.
