Rena Collins was someone who many of us believed would go on forever - the fire in her belly was so strong, especially about the ill treatment of animals.
I didn't agree with her all the time - I don't know anyone who did - but she certainly made you stop and think.
Brighton and Hove, and the St James's Street area in particular, will be a poorer place for Rena's passing.
Nothing would honour her memory more than if each of us could show more compassion towards animals in the New Year.
-Councillor Simon Burgess, Brighton and Hove City Council
