Shaming the movie business, David Mamet's play takes a mercilessly funny look into the dark heart of Hollywood.
Mamet is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright whose social commentaries often get down to the nitty-gritty of any situation with a healthy dose of acid wit and rapid-fire dialogue.
The plot centres around big-time producer Bobby Gould, a man who has spent his talentless life reaping the rewards of other people's hard work, as he struggles to choose between his friend's sure-fire hit and a beautiful girl's art-house project. By the end of the night, the tinsel looks set to be pulled firmly off the town.
