The Disabilities Trust would like to say a big "thank you" to the many people and organisations across Sussex - businesses, individual supporters and local celebrities - who have supported the charity throughout 2005.

The trust's local services in Burgess Hill for people with profound physical disabilities and in Lindfield for people with autism have continued to make a sustained difference to the lives of people with particularly challenging needs - helping them to achieve real independence and feel part of the local community.

We have plans to continue to develop these services during 2006, a year which will also see the establishment of a new, purpose-built, brain-injury rehabilitation centre for Sussex, based near Horsham. This new service will address the current severe lack of suitable specialist provision in the county for people with an acquired brain injury. We look forward to continuing to work with our many partners and supporters over the coming months to bring this exciting new development to reality.
