This pair of glamorous Sussex girls could be the next Page Three stunners.

Lisa Peters, 23, and Lottie Taylor, 21, are both hoping to be picked by readers of The Sun to win a year-long contract as one of the news-paper's famous pin-up girls.

The girls were selected by the national newspaper for a place in the final 20 of the Page Three Idol competition, out of 6,000 other entrants.

Now they have got their fingers crossed readers will vote to put them into the final six, then the final three and, eventually, make one of them the winner.

Prizes for the lucky winner include the contract with The Sun, £2,000 of clothes vouchers, £1,000 of Ann Summers goods, a week's photo shoot at an exotic location and the use of a convertible car for a year.

Pub worker Lisa, from Ashington, near Storrington, said: "I have been in magazines before but nothing else.

"My boyfriend sent in a picture of me and it spiralled from there.

"It's been really great and completely different to anything I have ever done before.

"It would be a complete career change. To win would be a really big stepping stone into the modelling industry.

"I wasn't expecting to get this far. I wouldn't like to say if I could win or not. Who knows?"

Voting lines have been open for readers of The Sun to pick their favourite of the 20 beauties. Next week, we will find out which gorgeous girls have made the top six.

Lottie, a receptionist, from Brighton, said: "I have always been interested in this type of thing but I have never done it. It is the first thing I have entered glamour wise.

"I have always really admired the glamour models.

"My boyfriend sent in a picture of me on holiday and a week later The Sun called me to say I was in the final. I didn't expect to hear back.

"It was one of my dreams to get in. I couldn't believe it, I was really happy when I found out. I am lucky my boyfriend and family support me 100 per cent.

"Hopefully, if I won, it could lead to lots of other things. I would like to set up my own promotions company one day."
