I read your report on the congestion being caused in the Patcham/Hollingbury areas by out-of-town shoppers (The Argus, December 30) and of the concession being made by Brighton and Hove Albion to temporarily suspend the park-and-ride scheme operating in Carden Avenue on match days until after the New Year.
As a tax-paying resident of Patcham, I would like to know how the Albion won the right to close public roads on home match days - first Mill Road and now Carden Avenue.
Why does everything in this city seem to revolve around the needs of a football club?
