I'm afraid I can't agree with E Enfield (Letters, January 9) when he or she says bus fares are too high compared with London, which has led to him or her using their car more in the city.
Brighton and Hove has one of the most reliable services in the country, with the ultra-modern buses able to take people with pushchairs and even some people in wheelchairs.
Although a short journey may not be cheap, longer journeys and travelling around town or going miles out of town is very cheap, and I can only presume that if E Enfield finds it more economic to use his or her car in the city, they must have free parking somewhere.
