A nightclub's new bar has been nominated for an industry award.
The Social Club, an addition to the Ocean Rooms in Morley Street, Brighton, has been shortlisted in the Best Late Night Bar category in the Theme Magazine Bar and Restaurant Awards.
Theme Magazine is the leading trade publication for the hospitality industry and its awards scheme aims to "reward the efforts of venues and individuals that have exceeded expectations and driven up standards in the hospitality industry."
The Ocean Room's first floor was refurbished to become The Social Club last January as part of a major refit at the club.
White leather beds and unusual lighting were fitted and menus changed to include tapas from around the world and lots of different cocktails.
Owner Ben Gill said: "It's not like anything else in town and we're delighted that it's getting national recognition."
The awards ceremony for the South region will be held in London on January 24.
