A service has been launched to advise businesses on diversity. Disability Equals Business is a free disability and equality consultancy service for Sussex firms.
The organisation will help local employers improve business performance, reduce costs, lessen the risk of being sued and comply with relevant employment legislation regarding disabled employees.
It will give support, guidance and training on diversity and disability awareness, recruitment, employers' rights and responsibilities and available funding for free.
Advice is also offered on supporting employees who become disabled at work, which is predicted to become increasingly important as people begin working beyond the age of 65.
