Further to the report in The Argus yesterday, about the clock on Brighton's Clocktower, I don't find it strange that it neither shows the right time, nor that the golden ball doesn't work properly.
Since a great deal of money was spent on the delicate mechanism two or three years ago, there has been an enormous amount of building work in the immediate vicinity.
It would have made more sense to delay the original repairs until after the building work was completed.
